Job description
An exciting opportunity for an energetic, confident and enthusiastic Catering Supervisor has arisen at the Oceanarium, Bournemouth, specifically for our busy kiosk in the penguin area. Reporting to the Catering Manager, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate the ability to lead and motivate a team and support in the day-to-day management of the catering outlet. As well as ensuring that an excellent experience and product is delivered to all our visitors, the role will be supervising the department and assisting in maximizing all spend opportunities while providing a high-quality and quick service, suited for our beachside trade.
You will understand and have sound knowledge of food safety legislation and associated requirements. Numeracy, planning and financial skills are desirable.
Experience of supervising a catering outlet is desired, with a high level of customer service and staff motivation. An understanding of COSHH and food hygiene (to Basic Certification level) is required along with safe practices of working in a catering environment.
This role is for the summer season at The Oceanarium, Bournemouth, a prime location to work!
Rate of £11.28 per hour, 28 days holiday pro rata and complimentary tickets to the attraction.
