The Role
We are looking for a Catering Assistant to join our well-established Estates and Facilities Directorate at Canterbury Christ Church University
You will work as part of a team in the food and beverage outlets across the Canterbury Campus providing catering and hospitality services. The post of General Assistant will involve working in any of the Catering Outlets that include food courts, coffee chops, bars, hospitality areas, banquets, drink receptions.
The Person
We are searching for a highly motivated individual with a flexible approach and be able to meet the expectations of providing a consistent and quality service to students, staff and external visitors.
The ideal candidate will be:
- Customer focused
- Delivering a first-class service to students, staff and external clients.
- Working with the Team Leader in any outlet, assisting with Hospitality, Events and formal dinners.
- Willingness to learn new skills and develop as an individual
- Working with the Team Leaders to maximise student experience
- Team player to be consistently working with colleagues to ensure the best service is offered
- Be able to operate point of sale system for cash and card payments
