We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and flexible person with an excellent approach to customer service, to provide assistance with general kitchen duties. This role also includes handling deliveries on a daily basis from suppliers and lifting and moving heavy items into storerooms.
Purpose of Role:
To assist the Head Chef with the preparation and service of school meals and beverages to an excellent standard, and to provide a professional impression to all visitors, parents, pupils and staff. In addition, as a member of the catering staff, to undertake a range of duties within the kitchen and any ancillary duties to support the operation of the school.
- working with the Head Chef to ensure deliveries are checked and correctly stored
- work with the team of staff to assist with the food preparation for the pupil’s meals
- maintain a good working relationship with the pupils to promote healthy eating
- assist with the cleaning and clearing after each sitting
- other duties reasonable to assist the smooth operation of the Canteen
We are happy to explore flexible working, subject to the operational requirements of the role.
