Job description
We are looking for a highly motivated and conscientious hands on working supervisor to assist in the smooth running of our retail units within Central Fife. These will include the dining room and Grab & Go within Victoria Hospital as well as our Cafe at Whyteman’s Brae hospital. The service covers breakfast and lunch along with a growing hospitality provision.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and experienced individual in this role with a dedicated team of staff who strive to achieve the best on a daily basis.
The Catering Supervisor will:
- Supervise activities of the Catering Service ensuring performance to the highest of standards
- Motivate and train staff
- Serve food and beverages in our outlets and, on occasion, food preparation will be required
- Ensure all health and Safety including cash handling are met to ensure a safe environment is provided

To succeed in this busy role, you will require strong supervision skills, excellent communication, superb problem solving abilities and immaculate attention to detail. A background in the hospitality or retail sector is vital.
You will be required to work various shifts to meet the needs of an ever changing, fluctuating service.
The departments operating hours are between 6am – 5pm, 7 days per week including public holidays. Hours of work will be predominately 8.30am – 4.30pm, however it will be necessary to cover shifts outwith this to meet the needs of service requirements.
