Job description
Working as part of the Catering Team, assisting in all aspects of preparation, service, wash up and cleaning duties related to the provision of a high quality catering service to patients, staff, visitors and functions. Your duties will vary between departments and hospitals.
This list covers all some of your main duties:-
- Maintaining safe systems of work.
- Maintaining high standards of personal and general food hygiene as well as high standards of cleanliness throughout the department.
- Receipt and storage of supplies
- Record keeping including HACCP records
- Preparation and service of food and beverages for staff, patients, visitors and functions
- Cleaning and wash up of all equipment, machinery, crockery, and cutlery associated with the above service
You should have the ability to maintain the department hygiene standards, have basic food hygiene certificate (training will be given), be numerate, literate and practical. The shift pattern for this post varies as there is 2 positions available
Post 1 4 hours, 15.00-19.00 Sun
Post 2 4.5 hours, 13.00-17.30 Sat
