Edward Hall Classic Mercedes is looking for an experienced mechanic/vehicle technician to join its team.
We are a small but thriving business servicing, repairing and restoring Mercedes cars from the 1960s to the 1990s. We offer varied work and the opportunity to work on some very interesting cars. We are a friendly team based in a rural setting on the Oxon/Bucks border.
Our ideal candidate will live and breathe cars and have many years of experience working on them professionally. Key skills must include –
- Engine building
- Understanding of older/classic cars
- Electrical fault finding
- Fault diagnosis, with and without computer diagnostics
- Ability to carry out complete restorations (excluding body/paint) to concours standard
- Ability to accurately record time spent and parts used on our workshop management system (training & iPad supplied)
Essentially, the ability to do everything from service a car to completely restore it from scratch to the highest standards.
Knowledge of Mercedes and Bosch injection systems would be a significant advantage, but we are more focused on having the right candidate with the right skills and experience.
A strong work ethic, ability to work as a team but also on initiative, reliability and attention to detail are essential for the role.
A candidate must have their own comprehensive cabinet of tools and their own transport.
Our business hours are 8.30AM to 5PM Monday to Friday, no weekends.
Salary dependent on experience
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
