Job description
Working in a fast-paced barista-style coffee shop, duties include cash handling, display merchandise, preparing basic food items, cleaning, completing relevant HACCP paperwork and serving customers.
- Record food and fridge temperatures, accurately and record all the information clearly
- To deal with all phone enquires to the Staff Restaurant, take orders and pass on any enquires they cannot deal with to the Restaurant supervisor, or Catering Manager
- Relay information back to the kitchen regarding orders placed or stock needed
- Work very closely with other members of the small team and play their part in delivering the best possible service
- Being dynamic serving customers in a fast-paced barista-style coffee shop
- Work on the service counter using good customer service and communication skills to engage with customers and drive sales
- Cash handling, taking card payments and keeping accurate accounts of money transactions
- Simple Food preparation such as salads and sandwiches
- Preparing orders for paninis, pizza and other hot snacks
- Keeping accurate records for the HACCP Food Safety System
- Putting away deliveries
- Replenishing fridges and selves with stock, whilst making sure stock is rotated.
- Informing supervisor when stocks are low
- Delivering buffets and hospitality to areas away from the main Staff Restaurant
- General cleaning of service counter and restaurant areas as well as collection of used pots
- When required deliver food orders to the Wards
- If required, cover absences
