Salary: £21,030 pro rata
Location: Courtland Road, Hull
Hours: 20 hours - 4 days per week 09.00-14.00 (Tuesday – Friday)
Contract: Permanent
Do you have previous experience of working within the catering industry? We are looking for a Catering Assistant to join the team!
As a Catering Assistant, you will ensure food, beverage and function service is undertaken to the highest standard and to assist the Chef Supervisor with the production of food.
You will maintain stock levels, complete weekly stock takes and place orders in accordance with established procedures and ensure quality and quantity of stock received are checked and signed for.
You will be responsible for operating the till and handling cash for the payment of items ensuring all monies are secured in the safe.
It is crucial that Health and Safety protocols are followed within this role, especially for cleaning standards and the storage of chemicals being away from food stores.
The role involves ensuring the dining areas are prepared for meal service, making sure that the standards within the catering areas are correctly and efficiently maintained throughout service periods.
What is required?
- Knowledge of Health and Safety relating to the Catering Industry.
- Previous relevant experience in the catering industry.
- Well-developed oral and written skills in order to deal with people at all levels.
- Good Customer Service skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and to set deadlines.
- Must convey a confident approach to their work and be highly self motivated.
- Full driving Licence in order to transport food stuffs and/or equipment around the Force area.
