Salary: Circa £45,000 + potential bonus + other fantastic benefits

Position Summary
In this role you will be responsible for managing the Supply Network of the assigned portfolio of the business, as a Category Supply Planner. The key priority is to ensure supply to our markets / customers and optimum cost by replenishing each dispatch point to meet customer service objectives whilst maintaining optimal stock cover that considers the distribution costs.
This is an exciting role that offers the opportunity to work closely with stakeholders across different areas of our business including: demand planning, production, finance, customer service and projects. The role will offer you a degree of autonomy to both challenge and recommend new ways of working.
The role will allow you to be in a close touch with the market D&SP community and above market Supply Chain Team. Beside the stakeholders in your area of responsibility, you will therefore have the chance to be in contact with planners of other NHSc markets, our European factories and our Contract Manufacturing partners.
A day in the life of…a Category Supply Planner
The key responsibilities for this role include:
- Establish the supply plan and net despatch requirements to ensure Customer Service and satisfy customer needs considering the network complexity and the supply constraints.
- Balance the need for product availability versus the need to minimise costs of inventory to ensure optimum stocks of the right material in the right location
- Analyse exceptions and take business decisions within agreed Framework escalating where necessary.
- Establish and periodically review stock policies for Finished Goods
- Analyse and effectively communicate relevant information to respective Stakeholders including highlighting all supply issues on an appropriate time horizon. Detailing impacts of proposed actions and related trade-offs. Ensuring actions and Supply Plans are realistic and achievable in accordance with the Business Planning process
- Challenge Production Planners to manage lot sizes, cycle times to drive optimum Finished Goods inventory and required Freshness level. Also challenge Demand Planner to improve Demand Planning Accuracy
- Ensures proper Master Data settings and Project Management related Supply Network Planning visibility (launches, re-launches, discontinuations)
What will make you successful?
You’ll have a supply chain planning background within an FMCG organisation. Knowledge of Nestle would be advantageous. You’ll have a strong problem-solving mind-set, as well as the ability to challenge and improve existing processes.
The role involves working with large teams and interacting with people of all levels, both internally and externally, and you’ll be required to be an effective influencer and communicator. Excellent numeracy and analytical skills with knowledge of everyday software will also be advantageous. Your excellent teamwork and communication skills will be accompanied with a self-motivated attitude and flexible approach.
