The role involves managing a category of spend across all Health Boards and Trusts within NHS Wales, the Category Manager will be required to work with other members in the team and stakeholders at all levels to ensure effective delivery of the category strategy in line with organisational and policy goals. The category includes the management of several key strategic contracts on behalf of NHS Wales, ensuring these agreements are tendered in line with Public Contract Regulations and managed effectively following award. The team is based in Woodland House in Cardiff, agile working is facilitated following a period of induction and with managerial agreement. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
