Our Digital Business Services teams are the foundation of HSBC, providing essential support across technology, operations and key central business services for our global businesses and functions. Dynamic and proactive, Global Procurement delivers tangible commercial value for HSBC. A varied remit spans all aspects of the procurement lifecycle worldwide - from leading relationships with suppliers, to ensuring alignment across spending plans. Highly engaged with the business, Procurement specialists develop deep strategic understanding. This leads to stronger approaches to measuring success, and ultimately ensures the Group operates ever more effectively.

We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Category Manager
In this role, you will:
- Providing strategic direction for the procurement of Goods and/or Services aligned to the Global Operations and Banking Services Category
- Deliver professional and credible Category Management expertise
- Leading complex sourcing events which will deliver increased value for money for HSBC
- Working with stakeholders to effectively manage vendor risk and drive vendor innovation.
- Ensuring maximum contractual protection for the business
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Proven track record of perform data analysis and draw useful insights so as to inform important sourcing decisions
- Have experience of leading high value, strategic commercial negotiations
- Have the ability to understand and accurately capture business requests/stakeholder requirements
- Comprehensive experience of negotiating supplier contracts in challenging supply market environments
- Background in creating robust reports on progress against targets
