Falmouth Exeter Plus is looking for a new team of Casual Summer Reception Staff to support our considerable summer guest and group booking business as well as the departures and arrivals of the students. Based in Glasney Lodge, you will work either an early or late shift between the hours of 7.30 am and 10.00 pm, integrating with the Halls Team and, where relevant, Night Security staff.
The aim is to provide a well-staffed and efficient service to guests, students and other FX Plus departments as necessary, throughout the summer months. The main bulk of the role will be checking guests in and out, dealing with any queries which arise, whilst always supported by Halls team staff.
The successful candidates will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to confidently engage with guests and students. An experience of the Campus, particularly the accommodation would be extremely useful.
Candidates should be extremely reliable and, once trained, able to work with minimum supervision. They should be able to provide a friendly, first-rate customer service and work well under pressure, having an organised approach.
It is important that the commitment is for the whole summer to the end of August, although pre-booked holidays will be considered. Potentially there may be some work into September and October for suitable candidates.
For full details of the skills/experience required, please see the job description above.
This position is offered on a casual hourly paid basis, minimum of 15 hours per week but more if desired. You will need to be flexible in terms of working hours and availability will be required through the week, Monday to Sunday.
