We are looking for individuals to join our team as Casual Passenger Assistants. Passenger Assistants are responsible for ensuring the safety, safeguarding and well-being of Children & Young People (CYP) during their journey, whether on Council-provided school or social care transport.

About you
You will possess the ability to establish a rapport and build relationships with passengers/parents and carers. Having a patient and calm disposition and being emotionally resilient if faced with a difficulty situation, is key for this role.
Flexibility to cover routes at short notice, dependent on the needs of the service is essential. You will receive on the job behaviour management and safeguarding training.
Experience of working in a school based setting would be desirable.

We are committed to protecting and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. This role will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act – for the effective performance of a customer-facing role).
