Casual Exams Invigilators
We are looking to recruit committed and responsible individuals to join our existing examinations invigilation team on a flexible basis. You will need to have good communication, problem solving, organisational and time management skills and have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Leicester College is a busy education environment with exams occurring all throughout the academic year and invigilation work availability is not limited to the busy May/June season.
Duties include;
- Preparing exam rooms, including setting up computers for online exams
- Providing a calm and professional environment, working to ensure that all candidates are given the best possible opportunity to be successful in their exam
- Supervising candidates throughout and informing them of examination rules and regulations at the start and end of each exam
- Provide the correct information and material for a successful completion of exam
- Distributing and collecting exam papers in accordance with the JCQ regulations
- Follow JCQ and Awarding Organisation guidelines/regulations to ensure the integrity and security of examination papers are adhered to
- Be vigilant and report any malpractice or potential malpractice to the Examination Officer
- Attend training when required in order to keep up to date with new procedures, college requirements and JCQ regulations
- Completion of candidate attendance registers
Experience of exam invigilating is desirable; however full training will be provided. This is a casual contract and working hours will be negotiated every three weeks.
You will have a Level 2 or equivalent qualification in maths and English, together with a Level 2 in IT or have relevant IT experience.
