Job description
We are recruiting for a Cashier/ Patient Affairs Officer who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
You will offer advice and guidance on procedures and Cash Office Processes to General Office staff at Mount Vernon. You also will provide a service for staff, patients, and members of the public requiring to pay in money owing to the Trust or claim back moneys from petty cash as appropriate.

Responsible for all cash and cheques received in the cash office.
Responsible for processing credit card payments, these are received daily by telephone and in person.
The Cashier will take the lead on any cash related queries from Bristol Shared Services via e-mail and telephone.
Invoice Private Patients or other NHS Trusts on the Oracle System, complete spreadsheet for private patient Income.
Act as first point of contact for the Patient Affairs department and work within the government guidelines for the registration of deaths.

In addition, you will receive a High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of your basic salary, subject to a minimum payment of £4,108 and a maximum payment of £5,177per annum pro rata.
