Temporary Contract until 31 March 2024 | 37 hours per week | £21,189 per annum (Grade C) | Norwich

A vacancy has arisen within the Cashiers team here at Norfolk County Council for a full time Cashier to join the team. This post is currently offered on a temporary basis until 31st March 2024 but with a view to becoming a long term contract subject to the teams ongoing requirements and satisfactory performance.

We are looking for a Cashier to join the Cashiers Team here at Norfolk County Council and help provide a key service related to the receipting of income across the organisation. The main responsibility for the Cashiers Team is to promptly create AIM/Oracle receipts in respect of income received (on a daily basis) for both the NCC County Fund bank account and The Pension Fund bank account. This helps to ensure that outstanding NCC debts are reflected as being paid; and that departmental income appears promptly in the relevant departments budgets. This role is suited to a person with a background in the finance sector, especially with cashiering/banking experience; and happy to work in a small team environment. Please be aware that this role will consist mainly of working from the candidates own home with occasional office based working at County Hall, Norwich. Candidates will need to demonstrate that they are able to commit to working in the office as/when required.
