We are looking to recruit Cashiers with previous experience of working within a cash office or a similar environment to work with all till operating teams to run a secure and efficient site wide cash operation which in turn enhances the quality service we provide for our visitors.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Family Definition
Roles within the Business Support job family are dedicated to optimising professional, technical and administrative services, which support the work of other job families in making Eden successful.
Role Purpose
To support Eden’s financial strategy by efficiently processing and recording all transactions managed through the cash office and ensuring that sufficient monies are available to meet the daily needs of the business and to manage the security of cash held on site.
Key Accountabilities
1. Managing all cash, and vouchers with a monetary value, that are moved through the business, receiving till contents, preparing cash for banking and managing all transactions with Eden’s contracted cash handing company, preparing and distributing floats and change orders for tills and cash aprons in consultation with other departments, ensuring accurate records of all transactions are maintained.
2. Responsible for the security of all cash retained on site and for balancing safes to ensure values held are within agreed limits and that sufficient cash is held to meet business needs.
3. Maintaining accurate records for the Finance Department of all transactions carried out through the cash office and ensuring that all documentation and records are completed correctly prior to local filing.
4. Managing the security procedures of your working environment and maintaining the integrity of the strict access control measures that are in place.
Demands of the Role
Education & qualifications
The role holder is expected to have achieved a minimum of GCSE level A-C for Maths and English and to be a competent IT user particularly Excel or similar.
Knowledge & skills
At least 12 months experience of working in a cash office or similar environment that has established processes for cash handling and banking procedures. Accuracy is paramount and the job holder must be able to absorb and adhere to the complexities of the processes, working in a logical and methodical manner and able to quickly investigate audit trails to rectify any discrepancies.
Decision- making
Most decisions are routine in nature, drawing upon the jobholders existing knowledge and skill, however this will require prioritising persona and team workloads to meet the required deadlines. Unusually complex or serious situations which fall outside of existing procedures are referred to a senior member of staff to address. At busy times of the year and when there are large events on site the job holder will need to prioritise tasks to meet stringent deadlines.
Resourcefulness
The job holder will mainly work within established processes, able to react to rapid changes in demand and occasionally need to be adaptive and creative to ensure processes continue to support business efficiency.
People & asset management
The job holder has a shared responsibility, accurate and secure movement of all cash moved through the business. Distributing to, and receiving cash from, all departments, and completing banking to support with business aims and objectives. Ensuring there is sufficient quantity and denominations of cash to meet business needs, balancing safes and completing all financial records accurately. The work is subject to time constraints and frequently requires working to very tight deadlines. The job holder is also responsible for the secure storage of other assets with cash values, such as vouchers and tokens, and ensure that they are issued in accordance with company guidelines.
Communication & visitor experience
The role holder will frequently communicate with a large number of internal customers to understand, plan for and support changes in their working practices, as well as with some external stakeholders. Most communication will relate to the exchange and explanation of factual information and accuracy and clarity are essential.
Operational environment
The role is based in a secure office environment with a lack of daylight and fresh air. The role involves a high percentage of lone working which can restrict opportunities for breaks. It involves some bending and lifting and prolonged periods of standing.
