Job description
Sales associates provide fast and friendly service by actively greeting customers and provide assistance throughout our stores. Sales associate will provide information on products and related items to sell the whole project. Associates will greet , qualify, recommend on customer needs and close the sale. Sales associates maintain the in-stock condition of the store and ensure that it is SAFE, clean and shoppable. All associates have the responsibility of providing a safe shopping environment by following All safety policies and standards and immediately correcting hazards and unsafe conditions and reporting to the Manager on Duty. Associates are to work safely to not endanger themselves, co-workers, or customers. Associates will work in conjunction with other associates and managers to ensure customers' needs are met
Minimum Qualifications
- 18 years or older
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Pass the drug test
- Pass the background check
- Be able to work a flexible schedule to include weekends
- Successfully complete any required training
Environmental Job Requirements
- The environment can be dusty and noisy
- Doors are frequently open, causing drafts and interior temperature changes
- Passing forklifts emit gas fumes
- Floors around work area may become slippery during wet weather conditions
- May have to handle merchandise and work with tools with sharp edges
Physical Job Requirements
Bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting (up to 50lbs.), pushing, pulling and moving items
- Requires the ability to move around the store and maneuver merchandise when necessary
Responding to public address system announcements
- Requires ability to respond to customer service calls and general information announcements.
Moving and Standing
- Requires moving around the store to assist customers
Identifying and reading reports, tickets and UPC labels
- Requires recognizing, identifying and using merchandise and necessary reports
