I am currently recruiting for a Legal Cashier to join highly reputable and award-winning Solicitors based close to Stockport town centre. The ideal person will be trained within bookkeeping and preferably have previous experience within legal cashiering and legal accounts management.

What will you be doing as a Legal Cashier?

• Providing support to the Head of Finance

• Processing and recording all financial transactions in accordance with the firm’s processes and policies

• Logging and banking incoming cheques, issuing cheques, petty cash and bank transfers

• Recording automated payments in and out of the firm’s bank accounts

• Conducting reconciliations of bank, petty cash accounts and client ledgers

• Recording incoming and outgoing invoices and on occasion supporting the preparation of outgoing invoices

• Administering of the purchase ledger

• Preparing and processing working papers and assisting with the annual audit

• Preparing of credit control advice and the pursuit of debtors by letter and telephone

• VAT administration and returns

• Financial management reporting
  

We would LOVE to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:

• Formal accounts qualification desirable

• IT skills across all Microsoft packages, Excel and Outlook

• Clear communication skills by telephone, face to face, and written

• Able to work as part of a team with a positive and can-do attitude

• Time management skills
