Job Description: We are seeking a friendly and customer-oriented Cashier and Counter Staff to join our team at D'latte Cafe. As a cashier & counter staff, you will play a crucial role in ensuring excellent customer service and smooth operations in our fast-paced cafe environment.
Responsibilities:
Greet customers with a warm and welcoming demeanor.- Take customer orders and process payments accurately using our point-of-sale system.
- Provide product recommendations and answer customer inquiries about menu items, ingredients, and allergens.
- Prepare and package food and beverages according to customer requests.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the counter area and dining space.
- Maintain stock levels and notify the appropriate team members when inventory needs to be replenished.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure efficient and timely service.
- Follow food safety and hygiene protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally and escalate when necessary.
- Promote our loyalty program and upsell additional items to enhance the customer experience.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a cafe or food service setting.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and calculating transactions.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Night and Morning Shifts Available
- Must be able to work year-round - this is not a seasonal position.
