POSITION SUMMARY:
The Cafeteria Cashier Lead is responsible for overseeing and instructing front of the house Café staff and should have excellent communication and people skills, a basic understanding of the department, customer service goals and excellent knowledge of policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Supervises front of the house associates, provides daily direction to associates within the department, prepares to-do / task lists, and ensures all associates are productively busy during all work times.
Cashiering during peak times, keeping all front of house items properly stocked.
Addresses and seeks resolution for customer feedback/complaints.
Performs front of house closing duties, including counting all register drawers, and verifying the daily deposit.
Completes weekly orders for beverages and coffee products.
Daily/Weekly processing of invoices through Coupa.
Keeps monthly inventory for all front of the house products.
Performs all “set up” for special functions at Basecamp according to Chef’s instruction, including banquet and catering set-up and service.
Assists with development of team to focus on being “service” oriented; coordinates training; coaches and motivates associates to promote positive customer relations and a productive team-oriented work environment; maintains a positive, harassment free working environment for all associates.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Degree Required: High school diploma or equivalent
Year of experience: 2 years of cashiering experience, previous restaurant, and leadership experience preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
Experience in and passion for customer service
Willingness to learn new skills and be a team player.
An attitude of flexibility and mindfulness about the team approach
Excel at multitasking and time management skills
Ability to handle all required tasks around handling cash register.
Clean and clear service areas
Perform correct POS transactions, closing duties and accounting procedures as required.
Basic computing skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Regular computer work, walking, sitting, standing and lifting up to 50lbs
INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:
Performs tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems. Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments. Often makes recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices.
