Job description

Duties

  • Sells a variety of merchandise items.
  • Operates POS system to perform check-out duties, total sales, process credit card sales, receive money, and make change.
  • Clear the closed POS and turns over cash and supporting documents.
  • Conducts daily inventories.
  • Maintains area in clean and orderly condition.
  • May perform related food service duties.
  • Elevates problems to supervisor resolution.

Qualifying Experience:
Experience in clerical or office work of any kind in which the applicant demonstrated the ability to perform satisfactorily at the grade level of the position is desired, but not required. Must have experience which demonstrates the ability to perform common arithmetic problems, to make change when receiving payments from customers, and to use cash accountability control methods. Must possess good communication skills and skill in dealing with the public.

Education
