The Consulting and Advisory Service Line is a rapidly growing, award winning and global group. You will be joining a team at the forefront of large international infrastructure projects, global M&A transactions, high-profile forensic investigations, business valuations, corporate restructuring and national creditor advisory services; all with the aim of adding value to clients by finding solutions to a wide range of financial issues.
Our Advisory specialists help clients with raising finance for large infrastructure projects, advise on corporate acquisitions (both in the UK and cross border), restructure businesses to secure livelihoods and act as experts on high profile international investigations and disputes.
Job Purpose
Your role in the National Cashiering and Treasury Management team will be to support the Mazars' national Restructuring Services team.
Our Restructuring Services team help and support businesses and their stakeholders, providing advice to business owners and directors whether in respect of business underperformance at the early stages of distress, all the way through to achieving the best outcome for creditors as part of a formal insolvency process.
Working within a small and supportive national Cashiering and Treasury Management team, based in Bristol, your key tasks will include:
Role and Responsibilities
- Day to day management of a significant number of estate bank accounts
- Timely and accurate processing of requests from the Restructuring Services team
- Bank reconciliations
- Opening and closing of estate bank accounts
- Processing invoice payments electronically or by cheque, including accurate entry onto the Insolvency Practitioner Software (“IPS”)
- Processing distributions and generating dividend payments
- Checking accounts for receipts
- Banking cheque receipts and recording on IPS
- Processing electronic receipts onto IPS
- Processing journals/ adjustments through IPS
- Accurate maintenance of the cashier records on IPS and within the e-file
- Generating statutory R&P's when required
- Liaising with various banks in a professional manner
- Ensuring Cashier diary tasks are completed on time
- Assisting with any other reasonable cashiering requests when required
- Promote estate accounting best practice with colleagues
- Follow the firm's Treasury Policy
- Ensure compliance with Client Monies Rules

Experience within a similar cashiering/ treasury management role or accounts payable/ receivables function is desirable. Previous Insolvency experience is beneficial, but on the job training will be provided.
