As a Cash Office Manager, you will be responsible for all financial transactions within the depot and will manage a team where you will take ownership to ensure the smooth running of the depot’s cash office function. An important part of the role is to ensure the numbers all match up, so an exceptional eye for detail and a passion for numbers is necessary.
To be great in this role, you will be:
- Able to manage a team and ensure the smooth running of the cash office area.
- Able to build a good rapport with customers and be capable of dealing with queries
- Able to work quickly and accurately under pressure.
- Be proactive and confident in decision making.
- Have excellent attention to detail.
Some of the duties include, but are not limited to:
- Management of the Cash Office team
- Managing customer accounts ensuring they remain within the agreed payment terms
- Liaising with Head Office regarding the Daily & Monthly activity logbooks
- Ensuring the depot works within the boundaries of money laundering and all customers files are completed and up to date
- Ensuring the banking and takings are balanced
- Collating payroll information for staff wages
- Cashing up and banking
- Communicate cash discrepancies to senior management
- Dealing with escalated customer queries
- Compile weekly sales reports
This is a full-time position working 40 hours a week, and as we are a 7-day operation, some weekend working may be required.
