We are seeking to appoint a high performing Case Officer to join our professionals regulation (fitness to practise) team and run their own and varied case load from investigation stage to a final hearing.
Salary: £31,613 - £36,698 per annum, plus benefits, depending on skills and experience
Location: Canary Wharf, London
Hours: 35 hours per week, from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday

The role
This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive contribution to a dynamic, forward-thinking and successful team.
As a Case Officer you will be at the front-line of the regulatory work we undertake. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will be responsible for running your own case load from investigation stage to final hearing. Cases will require you to assess concerns, plan and conduct a thorough investigation, asses the risk posed to patients and the public, make recommendations as to the future progress of the case and work closely and collaboratively with colleagues across the inspection team, in-house advocates and external legal and regulatory agencies.
The successful applicant will:
- Have a proven track record in effective case management in a regulatory or similar environment.
- Have experience in identifying, gathering and analysing intelligence and evidence in accordance with legislation and policy.
- Be skilled at resolving conflicts and disputes to a high standard and delivering a high-quality, customer-focused service.
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills and the competency to assimilate and apply legislation and case law in a practical context
- Be able to juggle multiple priorities and pressures autonomously, and work innovatively.
- Be able to demonstrate accuracy and efficiency whilst meeting deadlines.
