As our Company continues to grow, we are expanding our Probate Team with individuals who are customer-focused and proactive. You're likely to be a Probate Solicitor/Legal Executive or an experienced Paralegal who excels in achieving the best results for clients and wants to be the driving force behind our company - when it centres around probate. The successful candidate will be instrumental in the development of the Department and manage their own caseload.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain client relationships
- Review and approve estate accounts
- Draft, collate and summarise any supporting legal and financial documentation
- Conduct research where necessary on relevant laws, regulations and legal articles, to ensure the accuracy of advice and the procedure
- Manage an independent caseload
- Work collaboratively as part of a team, assisting and providing mentorship to paralegals
- Correspond with solicitors, courts, LR, OPG and other 3rd-party companies, as appropriate to each case
- Deal with routine and difficult enquiries effectively and efficiently; and ensure that any client complaints are dealt with both professionally and promptly.
Skills and Attributes:
- Probate Fee Earner with at least 5 years’ PQE in probate and estate administration, should be confident in handling all aspects of associated transactions
- Minimum of 5+ years of running a probate caseload
- Can utilise and maintain a case management system
- Ability to be confident working independently and efficiently, as you will be dealing with high-value and quite complex cases
- Conveyancing experience, sales of properties, management of a client's estate
- Confident drafting legal documents, statements and decision-making
- Can understand and adopt the Company’s values and behaviours.
