Job description
Duties:
1. Taking measurements and preparing the site for woodwork
2. Preparing drawings for cabinetry, framing and other construction projects onsite
3. Installing fixtures and fittings such as handles, locks and hinges
4. Select and also evaluate materials for potential defects
5. Reading and interpreting designs to meet specifications set by Architects
6. Performing finish carpentry including siding, flooring and built-ins
7. Installs foundations, walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs using materials such as: wood, steel, metal, concrete, plastics, and composites of multiple materials.
8. Fits and installs window frames, doors, door frames, door hardware, interior and exterior trim using a carpenters level, plumb bob, and laser levels
Required Skills:
· Proven experience as carpenter
· Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials
· Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and cutting of wood panels
· Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.)
· Ability to read technical documents and drawings
· Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times
· Good knowledge of English
· Good understanding of basic math
· Good physical condition and endurance
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: From £30,000.00 per year
