Linkert Homes is looking for a self-employed skilled carpenter to work in refurbishment, extensions and new builds across Hampshire. You will need to have around 5 years’ (or demonstrable) experience, extensive site based carpentry experience - works will include joists, roofing and all aspects of 1st fix, 2nd fix and carpentry finals. Own van (free of sign writing), tools and own hoover to H or M class. Salary is negotiable for the right candidate. Other benefits include van clean allowance, fuel allowance and supplied uniform.

Job purpose
We are looking for an experienced, reliable and responsible Carpenter to join the Linkert Home Team.
This is a long term secure role for the right person.
As the work is varied a flexible approach is required to meet changing needs and tight deadlines. Excellent customer service skills, enthusiasm, and a ‘can do’ attitude are all essential as you’ll be our ambassador when onsite carrying out duties. You will liaise with residents, peers and colleagues on a daily basis so communication and customer focus will be essential to the role along with a good level of fitness.
Activities include:
- A good understanding of building drawing specifications, structural calculations and product specifications.
- 1stand 2ndfit carpentry.
- Select and evaluate materials for potential defects.
- Reading and interpreting designs to meet specifications set by Architects.
- Liaising with clients where applicable onsite, take appropriate deliveries and communicate with other tradesmen.
- Follow health and safety and work protocol guidelines.
- While primarily a carpentry role occasional trade cross over maybe required using various materials.
- Mainly working on project variation from medium to large extensions, alterations, renovations and bespoke fine finishes across Hampshire
- 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Overtime available if desired.

Direct links with clients, other management and trades, administrative support team, general public.
Special Requirements
The post holder will be based in Hampshire but may be required to travel to other sites as the need arises.

5 years’ (or demonstratable) experience as a Carpenter.
GNVQ Level 2 Carpentry (or training origin equivalent).
Current full UK driving licence.
GNVQ Level 3 Carpentry
