Job description

Purpose of the Role

Cargo Specialist will work alongside our Operation Managers, Cargo Planning Manager and other operational teams to deliver a robust and
consistent operational performance. They will primarily utilise our warehouse management system; iCargo and associated tools such as Alerts, PUMA and TrackCargo to report on progress against the operational plan and produce reports and insight into overall performance. The role will also take ownership for management and tracking of freight in our facility to ensure a speedy resolution for our customers and pro-active Service Recovery. They will resolve issues identified by them through Data Analysis, challenges highlighted by Team Leaders and Agents, including IAGC Contact Support, IT and IBS, in consultation with Operation Management, if required whilst either resolving the issues or proposing remedial actions to Management. They will form first point of contact in providing support to the business in the practicalities of
resolving obstacles to processing freight through iCargo.

Key Accountabilities

  • Understanding user and Company requirements and feeding these into applicable systems / processes / procedures
  • Detailed understanding and management of complex systems, procedures, and processes within the Premia Department
  • Analyse data and produce reports as required including trend analysis as well as ad hoc analysis to investigate specific failures and
    provide solutions
  • Daily production of management reports conducting daily operation performance meetings in conjunction with Department Manager,
    Performance Manager and Operation Managers
  • Investigation of queries and issues with freight to ensure we meet agreed customer SLAs for Service Recovery
  • Perform transactions within our systems to ensure freight travels within agreed SLAs
  • Accurate input of data into appropriate IT systems
  • Monitor the iCargo Flight Steering tool and raise delays in progress against the operational plan to ensure prompt remedial action is taken
  • Respond to exception queries and oversee specific processes to clear freight from Premia
  • Perform non-conformance analysis and propose remedial solutions
  • Produce daily standard iCargo reports to identify exceptions and failures such as, but not limited to, Build Report, Break Report, Flights not finalised
  • Undertake other tasks as directed
