Our Caretakers do justthat…take care; in fact, they take great care of our grounds, properties, andour residents homes. Our properties are our shop windows and the Caretakerrole is responsible for ensuring weve got the best window display in town.

We are looking for someone to join our Roost on a full-time permanent basis, with the successful candidate working 4 days out of 7 between 8am & 8pm. Our new Caretaker will become a key part of our existing, friendly and experienced property team at our Apollo Court Property in Liverpool

Key responsibilities for our Caretakers:

  • Our Caretakers are the engine room to our properties. Workingalongside the wider team keeping our properties running by conducting orassisting with the maintenance of the building and building fabric, includingrepair and redecoration as required.
  • Complete weekly/monthly and quartley PPMs for the property.
  • We love our properties and we want our residents to love themtoo, therefore when carrying out reactive maintenance tasks in occupied rooms,a strong focus is on customer service, quality workmanship and a respectfulapproach whilst working in someones home.
  • At the top of your agenda will be to maintain, adhere andfollow all our company health & Safety policies and processes. Safety andwelfare are never overlooked so you must be able to use all equipment safelyand efficiently, escort, monitor and assist the quality of work of contractedlandscapers and specialist engineers attending site.
  • Our amazing teams dont ever walk past a problem and this isparticularly important for our Caretakers. You will ensure that our propertiesand external services are safe by making sure surfaces and traffic routes arein good working, spreading grit where necessary in adverse weather, attendingany spillages and emergency cleaning requirements. Whilst completing thesetasks, ensuring that every interaction you have with our residents is apositive one, that makes a difference to their day.

Experience and Skills Required:

  • We would love someone on board who has experience working asa Caretaker in a fast paced, customer service environment.
  • Ideally our new Caretaker will have a knowledge andunderstanding of electrical or mechanical engineering and plumbing. You mustalso the ability to carry out basic maintenance and building fabric works witha good attention to detail to help support the main business function.
  • We pride ourselves on how awesome our teams are, so we arelooking for a self-motivated, well organised and well-presented individual toadd to this. You must also have the ability to communicate with colleagues and residentsalike and be flexible whilst adding value to the Student Roost team.
