Caretaker
An exciting opportunity to work in a, state of the art educational and community provision. The Governors at Ysgol Bae Baglan are seeking to appoint a Permanent Caretaker 37 hours per week 52 weeks per year. Previous experience of working in this role is not essential although experience in setting up rooms, basic DIY and working in a school setting would be useful. Ysgol Bae Baglan is at the heart of its community and is open each evening and weekends, as well as throughout the school holidays to provide a thriving community hub. We are looking for someone with:
- Experience of general property maintenance
- A general knowledge of fire safety and health & safety
- A committed, flexible and reliable approach
- An ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate effectively
- A high regard for the safety of self and others, especially the safeguarding of children
The role involves working on a shift pattern of mornings (6am -2pm) and afternoons (2pm-10pm) this is worked alternative weeks. You would also be required to work one Sunday in four. as part of the role you will be required to open up and close the facilities.
