Job description

Job Reference: LIN14809TP1 - Lincoln

About the Employer

I am looking for 2 or 3 carers to join my team to cover approximately 60 hours a week, (approximately 4 days at 15 hours a day). Shift patterns (generally) 11am-6pm and 6pm-11am (with sleep in) can be discussed at interview References will be requested. I'm currently 42 years young with cerebral palsy, I use wheelchairs pretty much 70% of the time, the other 30% is spent, in bed, sat on the sofa or in my car. My hands tend to spasm and ergo my carers are generally my hands when it comes to housework, cooking, brushing my teeth. I am able to shower myself and afterwards am capable of dressing myself however most things which require good dexterity, my carers do, including light gardening. When at home or at my parents in Essex I am fine toileting myself but when out and about I do require some assistance, especially if I'm wearing clothes with buttons on. I am a very sociable person, I regularly meet my mates in pubs and restaurants. I like travelling and often travel to see my girlfriend and my family. I am interested in history, especially WW1. I enjoy going out and sometimes at night. My main interest lies in sport from football to skiing to fishing. I attempt to play powerchair football for Nottingham PFC in the MDUK national league. I created and run a Facebook group called Carers Wanted UK and I am also a trustee of national advocacy organisation. I love dogs and I am actively looking for a dog so, am looking for someone who is dog friendly.
