Day Shifts

8 am - 8 pm = Long Day, Saturday and Sunday

We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. As a Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to our residents in a safe, comfortable and caring environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing personal care and support to residents in line with their individual care plan
  • Assisting residents with daily living tasks such as washing, dressing, feeding, and toileting
  • Encouraging residents to remain as independent as possible whilst providing appropriate levels of support
  • Assisting with mobility and providing safe transfers using the appropriate equipment where necessary
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of care provided and observations made
  • Building solid relationships with residents and their families, promoting a positive and caring environment
  • Assisting with activities and social events to promote resident wellbeing
  • Maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents and staff
  • Undertaking any other duties as required by the Home Manager.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a care setting is desirable but not essential.
  • A compassionate and caring nature, with excellent communication skills
  • A patient and understanding approach, with the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • A commitment to providing high-quality care and support to residents
  • The ability to work well as part of a team
  • A willingness to undertake training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays
  • A satisfactory DBS check.
