Job description
Fitzpatrick Referrals Orthopaedics and Neurology is looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to join our veterinary care assistant team working together with our night vet and nurses.
An animal management certificate or similar and previous employment or voluntary work experience with small animals is essential.
You must be a committed person who will be dedicated to the care and welfare of our patients. Your ability to work independently, use initiative and communicate well within a team is of great importance, as well as a hard-working nature and confidence handling small animals. Previous night work experience would be advantageous.
As a key support role, the veterinary care assistant team assists the nurses in the overnight care of our patients, providing excellent care in a stress-free environment.
We have one full-time role working 7 nights on, 7 nights off, Monday to Sunday. Shifts are 11 hours.
