Job description
Would you like to make a difference to students' career outcomes in a fast-paced and evolving environment?
We are looking for someone to work on a wide range of projects within the Careers Service. You will be working closely with our clients and our staff, to support the team, students and the wider university. You will be working both face-to-face and virtually, and will have a particular focus on engaging students to understand their needs and deliver the best support.
A key part of the role is about working with and for our clients - you will be answering questions, directing people to the best resources and helping to research, create, curate and promote those resources.
You will be working alongside the team to find new ways to reach students; gain insights into students' experiences and career needs; and develop ways to meet those needs.
In a typical day you might be answering students' questions by email or in person, helping to organise and deliver outreach activities, promoting our resources via social media, analysing usage figures or helping to plan an upcoming careers event.
Whilst no previous experience is needed, you will have excellent customer service skills, curiosity and enthusiasm to try new things, a flexible approach, attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
A more detailed overview on the purpose of the role and its key responsibilities can be found via the Further Information document which is accessible via a link at the bottom of the advert.
