Herts at Home are a care provider working with Hertfordshire County Council, providing care for people living in their own homes in the community and also in independent living schemes (flexi-care).
An exciting opportunity has become available for a flexi-care care worker within Parkside View in St Albans

- We pay you £12.43 per hour – FTE £25,900 per annum (£13.43 for Bank Holidays) from the beginning of your shift to the end.

A little bit about the Role and Responsibilities:
- Providing support to older people as outlined in their care plans.
- Moving and handling and using other techniques to provide more specialist support.
- Helping people to express their wishes/preferences/like and dislikes.
- Offering emotional support and encouragement.
- Adhering to risk assessments and supporting people with behaviours that challenge.
- Medication administration.
About you:
- A passion for delivering high quality care to a wide variety of older people.
- Able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the people we support.
- Comfortable in assisting individuals with their personal care where this is required.
Experience as a care worker would be an advantage but is not essential as full training is provided. Therefore, we actively encourage applications from candidates with no previous experience.
Shift Patterns: 0800am-1300pm with alternating weekends.
1x 15 Hour Contract
1X 20 Hour Contract
Successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check before commencement of employment.
