The job itself
Town View is a Short Breaks service in Beverley, providing support for up to 14 adults who have a learning disability and other associated physical health needs. We are proud to hold an overall CQC rating of good.
Due to the current post holder retiring, we are now looking for a new Care Worker to join our friendly and hardworking team. The post is 24 hours a week and there will be an expectation to work evenings and alternative weekends.

It is therefore crucial that the post holder has a sound value base that respects people’s individuality and diversity, in order to ensure that good quality person centred care is provided to all service users who access Town View.
As a Care Worker, you will be required to support the duty officer with the day-to-day care of the individuals using the service. We are looking for a self-motivated, positive, and committed person to join our team which offers person-centred support and approaches to individuals, to ensure that they are able to enjoy their preferred choice of daily routine and activity.
Duties will include supporting people with their individual personal care needs in order to ensure their safety and wellbeing,
maintaining daily electronic records for individuals, contributing to reviews and quality monitoring of service provision, light domestic duties, and supporting areas of health and safety monitoring.
Previous experience of working within social care is not necessary, as full training will be given, including completion of the Care Certificate as part of your induction.
You will have good verbal and written communication skills and also be able to offer organised yet flexible approaches, as part of a team, within the workplace
Hours of work will be completed over seven days per week, on a four-week shift rota pattern, including weekends and bank holidays. Shifts are a mixture of early, 7am to 3pm and late 2.45pm to 10.45pm.
It is not a requirement to have previous experience of working in a social care role, as full training be given. You will also gain the Care certificate qualification as part of the induction process.
