£12.60 per hour plus £500 Welcome Bonus

The successful applicant will have experience of leading a team, you will hold a vocational qualification / diploma in Heath & Social Care at Level 3 and must be trained in medication management. You will have experience of caring for residents living with dementia and will demonstrate empathy and a caring nature.

No day is the same, but it will include:
- Plan and provide high standard of care for residents based on the assessment of care needs and in consultation with the resident, their relatives and the care team in line with the company’s relevant policies and procedures.
- Take a lead in the drawing up, implementation and review of person-centred care plans in line with company policy to reflect each individual’s needs.
- Take responsibility during each span of duty for the direct and immediate care of residents of the unit during your shift, ensuring effective and high quality care is given to achieve planned goals and appropriately documented using the PCS system.
- Leading a team to assist residents with a high standard of clinical, social and emotional care, recognising and meeting the specific needs of residents
- Answer emergency bells or calls from residents, to assess the situation, to deal with resident seeking help and summon the senior care staff whenever necessary.
- Assist residents who need help with the activities of daily living; including meal preparation, washing, dressing, toileting and personal hygiene as documented in their care plan as well as helping with daily cleaning and tidying of the household
- Help residents with mobility problems, including transferring residents using appropriate equipment and other physical disabilities, help with use and care of aids and personal equipment.
- Supporting residents with a wide range of differing requirements from companionship to personal care and encouraging and facilitating activities and hobbies
- Being part of a team supporting the Team Leader in monitoring our residents and reporting changes
- Communicating with residents’ families, friends and other healthcare professionals
- Undertake general housekeeping duties of residents’ bedrooms, bathrooms and household areas (including completion of HACCP and COSHH documentation) with the care team and residents
