St Elizabeth’s
First things first, let us tell you very briefly about St Elizabeth’s (there is plenty more information on our website, just give us a quick search).
Based across 60 acres of beautiful Hertfordshire countryside, St Elizabeth's is a charity supporting children and young people aged 5 – 25 years old with epilepsy and other complex medical conditions, the severity of which impacts upon their health, social, behaviour, learning and emotional development. We also have a Supported Living Service in Windhill, Bishops Stortford, just a short walk from the town centre. Windhill offers 9 self-contained flats which is supported by our Domiciliary Care Agency.
But we are not the real heroes, so we don’t want to dwell on us for too much longer. We want to talk to future care heroes like yourself!
Your role as a Care & Support Worker
Working across our Supported Living Service in Much Hadham or Windhill (Bishops Stortford), you will play a vital role in ensuring that our young people have every opportunity to flourish in all aspects of life. You will ensure care and trust are at the heart of our practice, enabling us to provide the highest standards of care and education to those that call St Elizabeth’s Home. An important part of the role is encouraging learners to develop independent living skills. You will support them with tasks that are vital to maintaining a clean and tidy home environment, along with giving personal care, administering medication and promoting fun social and learning activities.
What do I need to have?
If you are caring and passionate about working with young people, ideally with some previous experience of working in care or education, can commit to being dedicated, motivated and adaptable, then you are just the hero we need!
You will need a valid UK driving licence to work at our site in Windhill.
