Worcester City Inpatients Unit is currently seeking Care Support Workers who can commit to long term placements on a full time basis for the next 12 weeks. Candidates will be working either long days or nights.

What you will be responsible for
· Washing and dressing patients, serving patients’ meals, assisting with feeding patients when necessary, helping people to mobilise, assisting patients with toileting, bed-making, generally assisting with patients' overall comfort, monitoring patients' conditions by taking temperatures, pulse, respirations and weight.
· Act with compassion, putting patients at the centre of all you do.
· Communicate effectively with patients and their carers.
· Show courage by embracing new ways of working and doing the right thing by the people you care for, including speaking up when you have concerns.
The role will involve, but not limited to you performing the above.
You will have the following qualification/experience:
· A minimum of 6 months experience of working as a Care Support Worker in a UK hospital environment within the last 2 years and either a Care Certificate or NVQ Level 2 or above in Health and Social OR
· 12 months experience of working as a Care Support Worker in a UK hospital environment in the last 3 years.
· Specific experience of working with patients that have learning disabilities or mental health conditions.
· Undertake regular mandatory training
*Depending on the Trust, you may require variable additional certification and skills.
