About This role of Care & Support Worker
As a care and support worker you will join our team providing support to vulnerable adults with mental health issues in the London Borough of Haringey. You will support customers to promote independent living. Milton Park is a small service that provides short term accommodation for people with mental health. There are 11 rooms and shared facilities. Within the role you be providing practical support including settling customers into their home as well as creating holistic support plans to support with more complex requirements whist also managing risk.
This is a full time permanent position working 37.5 hours a week on a flexible rota. The shifts are 7.45am – 15.45pm or 12pm – 8pm.
What you'll need to succeed
Experience in a similar role is essential and any experience of managing a large caseload would be an advantage.
We are looking for you to demonstrate on your CV experience as a care & support worker ideally supporting individuals with mental health issues. Knowledge of care plans and how they should be maintained is essential. As all of our records are recorded on a central It system confidence at learning new IT skills is also required.
To meet our commitment to providing safe, high quality services to our customers we will complete an enhanced background check with the Disclosure and Barring service, which will include a check of the Adult Barred list, once an offer of employment is made. A new check will be completed every three years.
