Our team of experienced professionals provide 24-hour all-round care for individuals with spinal cord injuries and other complex needs. The location of this position is in Stannington, in Sheffield S6.

The hourly rate for this position is £12.50 per hour.

We are offering a 36 hour contract - this would consist of 3, 12 hour shifts. This would include a mixture of days, waking nights and alternate weekends.

The day shift times are 8am until 8pm. The night shift times are 8pm until 8am.

Our team are committed to providing you with all the necessary training required to become fully competent in all aspects of specialised care, including tracheostomy, ventilator, postural and respiratory management, and PEG feeding. Rest assured that you will receive comprehensive training and ongoing support to ensure you feel confident and competent in providing the highest quality of care.

To be considered for this position, you will need:

  • Flexible availability.
  • To be available for an interview within 48 hours.
  • To be available to start when the package starts on the 17th of April
  • To be able to work a mixture of days, waking nights and alternate weekends
  • A current DBS (Paper or Update Service)

About the role:

We are seeking a skilled caregiver to support a service user with an unclassified genetic condition. He is none verbal and requires specialised care such as peg feeding, ventilation, and cough assistance. It is preferred that the ideal candidate has experience in providing this level of care, but it is not essential as full training will be provided.

You will need to have a caring demeanour and a desire to encourage the client to participate in activities and outings. A positive attitude and a friendly nature are essential for this role. About the Service User:

Our service user, who is 17 years old, has a vibrant personality and enjoys having a good time filled with laughter and fun. He enjoys the company of friendly individuals and activities such as football and playing on his iPad. He is eagerly looking forward to meeting his new Care Support Worker, and is excited to build a meaningful connection with someone who shares his interests and passions.

The candidate that we are looking for has:

  • Care experience
  • Good communication skills
  • Experience working in complex care (Preferred but not essential)
