Sense are looking for a passionate and motivated person to join our fantastic team as a Deputy Care Manager at our service in Malvern, Worcestershire.
This is a Permanent role, working 37.5 hours per week. As a Deputy Care Manager you will receive £24,398 per annum.
Currently, our residential service is home to 6 individuals , with a spare room to take us to our maximum of 7 residents. The people we support are an active bunch who love to be out and about exploring! The home is vibrant and busy.
You will be part of a management team consisting of an RCM and 2 Deputy managers . As a Deputy Care Manager, your role will be divided into 2 parts; supporting on shift and office based, depending on the needs of service. there will be some management of support staff involved as part of your role.
As a Deputy Care Manager you will provide a customised, responsive and high quality service to people with multiple sensory impairments and/or learning disabilities.
Other skills required;
Supervision and development of staff teams
Knowledge of health and safety
Ensure that team meetings are carried out monthly
Ensure that the people we support are at the centre of every decision we make and encourage them to participate in any way that they can.

Your duties can include:
To support individuals / groups within the centre and community.
You will assist the manager in the running of the service including rota, supervising, mentoring and leading the team to ensure that all shared responsibilities are fulfilled and systems maintained which guarantee compliance.
To provide a customised, responsive and high quality service to people with multiple sensory impairments, physical and/or learning disabilities who use Sense services.
To deliver services which meet or exceed organisational expectations and standards. Your required skills and experiences:
A full UK Driving license and the willingness to drive is essential (As you may be required to drive the individuals out of the home for outdoor activities).
You must have previous experience in care and the management of services and understand the legislation and requirements that governs us from CQC.
Previous experience of supporting individuals with sensory impairments is desirable. About Sense
