About the Trust

What you’ll be responsible for:
· Book ambulances for patients who are eligible; ensuring that patients meeting the criteria for ambulance transport; liaise with Ambulance services and other hospitals as required.
· Cover Ambulance liaison as required
· Send appointment letters to patients as required.
· Receive telephone calls and general enquires from patients, radiographers, nurses, doctors, ambulance personnel, relatives, staff of other departments and hospitals.
The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above
You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:
· An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
· Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
· A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
You’ll have the following skills/experience:
· Excellent communication skills.
· Excellent organisational skills.
· Good telephone manner.
· Knowledge of Microsoft Packages e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
· System knowledge of Lorenzo, Pinpoint, ChemoCare, Choose and Book, ICE, Ambulance booking system.
