Job description
We are currently looking for experienced Care Assistants to join our friendly, welcoming team, in a small, private care home in Guildford.
At Pilgrim Wood we accommodate for a broad range of residents and their needs, from the very active with capacity, to the very frail and suffering from cognitive impairment and memory loss. Our philosophy is to provide a home from home and at Pilgrim Wood we pride ourselves on the warm, family feeling that runs throughout.
We are strong believers in caring for the soul as well the body, which is why we encourage all of our teams within the home to spend time getting to know our residents and to help give them the confidence and desire to take part in our daily activities and events.
We offer competitive pay, paid breaks, free meals and the ongoing training and support from a caring management team, within a calm and tranquil, family run home - full and part-time hours available, on day or night shifts of 07:30 - 20:00 or 19:30 - 08:00.
Applicants should have experience in:
- Managing/working within a team of carers and the allocation of jobs across a shift
- Administration of medication or a desire to learn how
- Provision of personal care to residents
- Detailed record keeping and management of resident care plans
- Promoting independence, choice, dignity and respect for all of our residents
- NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable, but not essential
- Above all else, applicants should be caring, compassionate and patient, with a genuine love for making a difference in the lives of others.
We look forward to hearing from you!
