We are hiring for a Care Home Chef in BradfordWhat does a care home Chef do? In general, working in a care home kitchen means being part of a small team preparing and serving meals to the residents of the home. You need to be aware of good nutrition and be able to cater for special dietary requirements, which are more common among the older community.Schedule:Can work between 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Generally 8–10-hour shifts)Right to work in the UK and have 12 months experience in a care settingEnhanced DBS (one can be applied for)Can work 20-30+ per weekSalary Rate:£14.50 - £18 mid week£16 - £21 weekendsRequirements:Needs 12+months experience as head chef.Have chef certs or years of experience cooking English's based food and running a kitchen.Can cook for 30+ people in one sitting.Can cook from fresh produce and English-style dishes.Can work from 6:00 AM - 6:00 PMCan cook on the spot if patient doesn't like what is offered.Comfortable with IDDSI training- we will put them on it.Can work with 1 or 2 KA’s.Can bake cakes and pastries.Have some experience working in a catering environment.Job Type: TemporarySalary: £14.50-£21.00 per hourSchedule:Monday to FridayWeekend availabilityExperience:Chef: 1 year (required)Licence/Certification:Driving Licence (required)Work Location: In person
