The role care administration changed vastly during Covid where resources were challenged by face to face meetings coming to a stop. We continue to evidence our care and meeting our regulatory standards by better quality evidencing in all areas of our practice.
This new role would suit someone who has exceptional skills in the following categories but not essential:
Computer Skills: This part of the role is fundamentally important for you to be able to function correctly and efficiently in this role, The following systems you must excel in: Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel. Understanding the use of Google drive and iPhone the ability to quickly learn new systems and follow instruction.
Telephone manner: Must be welcoming friendly responsive and a good note taker.
Organisation: must be able to self manage, be self reliant be able to plan ahead and manage a diary effectively.
Team work: Must be able to take direction from the small management team and share information with the wider staff team effectively.
Individual goal setting: Must be able to work to set plans and to self manage job lists and set own tasks following attendance at meetings and taking notes from management team.
Understanding CQC new inspection and assessment framework: Its important working in the care home that the right person understands the environment your working in, and to beable to assist with care admin duties, you will need to understand the context of the information.
HR admin: You will be supporting the HR manager and will be allocated tasks to do, basic understanding here is necessary.
Office organisation: Be mindful of the environment you are working in and assist the managers in stock of office equipment and supporting the offices to be fully stocked and in an organised state at all times.
Note taking: This is vitally important to this role, you may be asked to attend HR meeting notes, Care meeting notes or to attend care professional meetings via zoom, all of which we require an ability to plan and share notes safely with the use of good social care language.
Confidentiality: You will need to understand the company policy in this area and as you work closely with the management team you will be privy to information which may be sensitive. You will need to comply with all confidentiality agreements.
Care Role in its entirety.
You will be trained to understand the care certificate and you will have regular supervisions by your line manager to look at your employment pathway and always support you in your development with Avondalecare. This is because in any role at Avondale you will ultimately be working in a care home and at any time you could be giving care even in a conversation you have. We like our service users to be treated and cared for by all staff.
This role offers a full time contract and will be absolutely necessary to be able to work across two care homes in Dover and Westgate on sea. Most of the work will be to work for Westgate on sea, however some travel is required to cover the care home admin work in Dover when duties arise.
This is a great opportunity to work alongside the residential care director, HR Manager and the home manager in support of care systems compliance, preparing for CQC inspections, auditing, HR management and support of management of all staff training and compliance. All the management team at Avondale are extremely hands-on, it is important this person is able to work in a team and take good direction with a positive interaction.
