Care Farm Worker
Job: Care Farm Worker x 2 positions available
Location: Woodgate Valley Urban Farm, Birmingham B32 3BS
Salary: £15 per hour
Hours: 24 hours per week, across 4 days to cover Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday
Contract type: 6 months fixed term contract
We are recruiting farm workers to carry out a variety of tasks on the farm such as caring for and feeding livestock, maintenance, and routine tasks.
You will be physically fit, hard working and have good communication and organisational skills. Experience of working with livestock and or relevant qualification essential.
The role also involves working with service users, supervising and instructing volunteers, supporting corporate volunteering groups, assisting students and other placements.
Experience. Knowledge and understanding of people with a range of disabilities/ long term health conditions essential.
This post is subject to an advanced DBS check.
You must be capable of working unsupervised. Induction and ongoing training will be provided.
