Job description
We currently have vacancies in our small and friendly care home on the outskirts of Whitby for a Care Assistant to work on night duty. Both part and full time posts are available from 1 night duty per week (11 hours per shift) up to full time hours. This post is primarily night duties but there may be occasions when the hours will be worked on day shifts dependant on service need. There is also the opportunity to work additional hours when available in a bank capacity. The hours may full or part time from 1-3 nights per week. This is an exciting opportunity to join our developing and expanding team of care staff.
We are a small 12 bedded care home within an Anglican religious community providing care and support to the Sisters of the Holy Paraclete religious community or those linked to the religious community. Our care home is based within St Hilda's Priory and is a new purpose built home with spacious facilities and grounds with open views of the beautiful local countryside.
The role involves providing care and support to aging, frail and infirm Sisters including those with dementia. Ideally you will have good understanding and experience of care provision or working in a care environment and hold a qualification in health and social care, although this is not essential as training will be provided. There is opportunity to complete qualifications in health and social care through a local training provider.
Our care takes an holistic approach and includes personal care, nutrition and hydration, mobility and transfers, safety, psychological and emotional, sleep and rest, spiritual and religious, and physical needs.
