We're offering Guaranteed Contracts for experienced, caring people who can work Monday to Friday. Full or part time roles are available via morning/lunchtime and/or afternoon/evening shifts.
At Home Instead you'll visit regular clients and support them in their own homes, or out in the community, as you would a friend or family member. We strongly believe in the value of companionship led care, which is why all of our visits are a minimum of one hour. You'll have the time to build relationships and really get to know the people you support.
Your role will vary considerably depending on the needs of the individual. You'll provide help with daily tasks that people naturally find more difficult as they age, such as: washing, bathing, dressing or meal preparation. For clients that have health conditions including memory loss or dementia, you may support with daily reminders for medication. You'll also help to keep the home tidy, clean and safe, checking the fridge for out of date food or taking out the rubbish.
Your role as a Care Professional will help to prevent loneliness, boost mood and enhance wellbeing. You are supporting and motivating rather than simply 'doing', which is essential for promoting and maintaining independence.
If you have experience as a Care Assistant, Support Worker, Carer, HCA, Health Care Assistant or in the NHS we would love to hear from you. This could be the start of your new career, and with our full support and outstanding training, anything is possible if you put your head and heart into it.
You must have your own transport. Our clients are cared for in their own homes, which are sometimes in remote and rural areas, that are not serviced by the public transport network.
Additional Information
£12.00 - £13.00 per hour
We encourage applications from all sections of the community as we want to reflect the neighbourhoods in which we work. Home Instead is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of adults and expects all staff to share this commitment. This role is subject to DBS enhanced disclosure.
